We believe in a Sovereign God, Who is Creator of all things. We also believe that God is manifested in three equal and unique parts: God the Father, God the Son, manifested in both Divine and Human form (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Holy Scriptures were inspired by God and written by the Holy Spirit through human personality and faculty. We believe that the scriptures are infallible, which means that though they main contain errors, the original intent of God has not failed.
Fall of Humankind
We believe that because of the sin of Adam and the deception of Eve that humankind in its rebellion was eternally separated from God.
Autonomy of the Local Church
We believe that the local Church should have full independence to govern its self under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. This is done through Constitution and By Laws under Pastoral Leadership and whatever polity is set forth in the By Laws.
We believe that Kingdom Giving is God’s strategy for support of the Local Church. As we engage in Kingdom Giving we commit the resources of our Tithes (10% of our Income), Time, Talent (God-given gifts and skills) and our Testimony to the work of God in the Local Church.
Social Justice for Church and Community
We believe that God has called us not only to be heaven bound but also to engage in social and cultural relevance. Following the model of Jesus’ first sermon in Luke 4 we are not the be simply a giver of charity but to a voice for the voiceless, an advocate for the lost, the last and the least and a change agent for justice.
The Way of Salvation
We believe that as result of the sinful separation of God and man, that God, in order to reconcile man to Godself, sent the second person of the Godhead in the form Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross to give us Salvation through the process of Justification (Jesus paid our price), Regeneration (We are born again), Sanctification (Making us Holy) and eventually Glorification (We will eternally be with God). We believe that this was a free act of Grace that is based on our Faith.
Indwelling of the Holy Spirit
We believe that once a person is saved that the Holy Spirit takes residence in their life and dwells in them. We believe that this indwelling is for all Believers and that the Holy Spirit verifies and validates the Believer as part of the Body of Christ. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a continuous reality for all of those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Filling of The Holy Spirit
We believe in the spirit-filled life as desirable, valuable, and an issue of obedience for all Believers in worship and service. Being filled with the Holy Spirit for us is more than a “feeling.” We believe it is the will and command of God that every Believer be “filled,” “walk in,” be “led by,” and “live in” the power of the Holy Spirit. Being filled is a characteristic that comes from having a consecrated and submitted life.
Gifts of The Holy Spirit
We believe in the perpetual and continuing operation of all of the spiritual gifts (wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues) for the edification of the body of Christ until the end of this Church Age, which will be consummated by the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the use of the gifts are an indicator not a qualifier of the Holy Spirit. This means that the gifts can operate however they are not mandatory.
Baptism and The Lord's Supper
We believe in the celebration of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus through two ordinances; Baptism (by immersion) and Communion (the sharing of bread and wine)
We believe that just as God saved all human kind (male and female) we believe that men and women are equal in God’s usage for the Kingdom.
The Power of Cultural Identity
We recognize that we are part of the African Diaspora and we live in a country that want to erase and demonize our History and Culture. Therefore, we commit to be Afri-sensitive by learning and lifting up the richness of our history and culture in relationship with other cultures of this Global society and the Kingdom of God.
The Return of The Lord
We believe that in the Last Day Christ will return and raise everyone from the grave for final retribution. He will judge both the wicked and the righteous and separate them for eternity.
